Lauren determined that physiotherapy would be the perfect fit for her career quite early on, after injuring herself as a competitive soccer player in high school and participating in many months of physiotherapy herself. Throughout university, Lauren spent many years volunteering on Saturday nights to provide swimming lessons to children with disabilities. This is where she further realized that pediatric physiotherapy was where her passion would be.
Lauren went on to pursue this passion and graduated with her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2017, after completing her Bachelor of Arts in 2015. Lauren has worked as a physiotherapist for pediatric patients since graduating, and has gained experience in a variety of different settings including school based and hospital based care. She recently moved back home to Winnipeg in 2024, after spending 4 years working in a pediatric rehabilitation hospital in Edmonton.
Lauren has ample experience working with a wide range of diagnoses and children of all ages. From infants to teenagers, she truly enjoys what each child brings to her practice and values respecting each child for who they are and where they are at. One of Lauren’s favourite parts of her job is working together with each child and their family to reach their goals and potential, while ensuring physiotherapy is a fun and positive experience for everyone.
