How We Support Early Infant Development
Gentle support to help babies grow and thrive with infant physiotherapy in Winnipeg.
Physiotherapy is for babies and toddlers too! Kids Physio Group - Winnipeg's physiotherapists are well-versed in infant motor development and offer services just for babies and toddlers. It is important to remember when looking at gross motor milestones that there is a range of what is considered “within normal limits”. At Kids Physio Group - Winnipeg, we look for improvement of skills and a continued pattern of growth.
If an infant is experiencing tightness or asymmetries are present, directing them to our physiotherapists can help. We assess the latch, tongue mobility, and general motor development. We also work on exercises and positioning to improve feeding and allow for a more comfortable experience for the parent and child. We help your babies activate the right muscles by doing stretches, proper positioning, and using toys to motivate the child through their development.

Torticollis & Headshape Management in Winnipeg
Early Support, While It's Easiest to Treat
Torticollis (tightness on one side of the neck) and flattened or asymmetrical head shape often show up together, and both respond best to treatment started early, while your baby's skull is still soft. We work on positioning, gentle stretches, and motor milestone support to even things out and keep your baby comfortable.
