Baby Milestone Group Class For Winnipeg Families
Parent education and hands-on support for your baby's motor development, guided by a registered physiotherapist.
Our Baby Milestone Group Class is run by a registered physiotherapist and centres around parent education on motor milestone development and progression, as well as common pediatric concerns to be aware of.
The goals of this class are to educate and empower parents to support their babies in achieving their maximum gross motor potential, and to create a safe and FUN space to connect with other parents and their babies. Classes are structured around specific topics related to your child’s development and will focus on exercises and activities to help progress your child’s skills.
Before your child starts the class, they will need an assessment. It is up to the parent if they would like a full-length assessment to discuss specific concerns, or a 30-minute assessment where we go through a more subjective assessment. The classes take place over 4-6 sessions to make the most of the education and milestone development. While they are physiotherapy classes, we cannot guarantee that your insurance will cover it, so we recommend families double-check before booking.

These classes are for a wide range of babies! Existing clients nearing the end of their treatment plans, families who came in for motor milestone assessments but didn’t need follow-ups, and families interested in physio but without a specific concern are all great fits for these classes!
Yes, but there is flexibility with the length of time. If you would prefer a 30-minute subjective assessment rather than a full-length assessment, we can make that happen.
Group classes may be covered under extended health benefit plans. We recommend contacting your insurer to confirm.
